Microelements complex structural requirements at wide material selection
Increased component flexibility
The combination of different laser processes can achieve the production of microelements. Spiral cutting allows precise cuts at high edge quality with material thicknesses of 0.8 mm in metals and 0.6 mm in ceramics. This process is suitable for the production of micro gearwheels or the cutting of a component contour out of the raw material. Precise microdrillings can be achieved by a spiral drilling process or by percussion drilling. Laser removal processes can be used to produce microchannels for the guiding of fluids, electrical contacs or additional microelements.
